General Information: Flat Panel Shipping
The Projector Pros strives to give you; the consumer, the best possible experience when you make us your source for audio-visual equipment. Because many flat panels are bulky they require different types of shipping carriers than traditional audio-visual equipment does. Therefore, we will ship via freight companies in lieu of UPS or Fed Ex.
To you, the consumer, the difference between delivery via a freight company and UPS or Fed Ex is as follows:
- Freight companies' normal ground shipments can take longer to deliver than UPS or Fed Ex therefore, your proximity to the original point of origin should be taken into consideration. When in doubt, ask you Projector Pros representative about an approximate time for delivery.
- In most cases, it is impossible to ascertain what freight company will be used to deliver the product before actual shipment. To keep costs at a minimum, the Projector Pros and other manufacturers often use a myriad of carriers because not all freight companies deliver to all parts of the country. Your Projector Pros representative should be able to give you the freight company used for delivery within 24 hours after shipment.
- Different freight companies have different tracking systems. Some are as accurate as UPS or Fed EX, while others are vaguer about delivery times and exact location of their shipments. Thankfully this is an area that is improving rapidly with most companies.
- Consumers that are asking for delivery of large flat panels to their homes are subject to additional shipping costs. Most shipping companies use semi trucks or other large freight trucks for delivery. If the shipping address is a residential, they have to transfer the product to a smaller truck that has a lift gate. Usually lift gate delivery fees are around $50.00, which can add a lot to the overall cost of delivery.
We highly recommend that, if you are going to order a flat panel from us, that you call us to place the order. While we have tried to construct a fair matrix of shipping rates for our online shopping cart, in many cases, getting an exact quote from us might save a few dollars.
International Orders
The Projector Pros does ship internationally. We generally use Service By Air as our freight forwarder. If you have questions about international shipments please call us at (978) 261-1122
Outbound Shipping Deadlines
Any orders received by The Projector Pros after 3 p.m. (EST) Monday through Friday will be scheduled to ship from our facility on the next business day. For product that must be drop shipped directly from the manufacturer, the deadline is 2 p. m. (EST). If next day delivery is required, please call The Projector Pros at 1-800-649-9809 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (EST).
Weekends and Holidays
Items are not shipped on weekends or holidays.
Backorders and Special Orders
The shipping date of backorders and special order items will vary. Upon receiving your order, we will notify you by email or by telephone within one business day if your order includes a special order or backordered item. We will also provide you with an anticipated delivery time frame.
